Fees & Billing

Full payment is required at the time of your appointment. EFTPOS available. The fee schedule is varied based on the type of scan. The average fee is $180 per item/region and the Medicare rebate varies between $95 and $110. Note: Some scans and multiple region scans attract a higher fee, and some scans have a lower Medicare rebate. Please contact us for a definite fee. Rebates are processed online and paid by Medicare via the patient’s registered bank account. Please ensure you have updated your banking details with Medicare. Bulk Billing is only applied to the following patients with a current Medicare card (subject to Medicare limits):
  • Children aged 17 years and younger
  • Full time students (Student ID card holder)
  • Pensioner Concession Card holders
  • Health Care Card holders
  • Commonwealth Seniors Health Care Card holders
  • DVA Gold Card holders
Work Injury Claim patients are to provide a current insurance claim number and insurer details at the time of service. If a claim number is not supplied immediate payment in full is required by the patient. We do not provide accounts to employers.

Adult Preparation requirements for ultrasound scans

The following scans have specific preparations. It is essential to follow these instructions to ensure that your scan can be completed.

Fast for six hours prior – no food, beverages or cigarettes – small amount of water and regular medications allowed.
Full bladder required – Drink one litre of water finishing an hour prior to scan and hold.
Full bladder required – Drink one litre of water finishing an hour prior to scan and hold.
Full bladder required – Drink one litre of water finishing an hour prior to scan and hold.
Fast 6 hours prior – no food, beverages or cigarettes and drink one litre of water finishing an hour prior to scan and hold.
Fast for six hours prior – no food, beverages or cigarettes – small amount of water and regular medications allowed.

Child Preparation requirements for ultrasound scans

Please contact us on 08 7522 0801 for age relevant preparations for the above scans.

All other scans do not require specific preparation.

Report Delivery

Reports will be sent electronically to your referring doctor/practitioner. Please allow a minimum of two full working days after your scan before contacting your doctor for results. In the event of a medical emergency, your referring doctor will be contacted immediately.

My Health Record

From 1st January 2025 reports will be automatically uploaded to My Health Record as per government requirements (excluding opt out patients).
